Jesse is a dedicated and empathetic lawyer specializing in estate litigation matters. He earned his Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Kamloops, British Columbia, where his commitment to legal scholarship and leadership shone brightly. During his tenure at TRU, Jesse was nominated for Vice President of Academics on the TRU Society of Law Students Board and represented the university in the National Sports Law Negotiation Competition (NSLNC) in 2020. Notably, he was part of TRU Law’s first virtual moot competition. In 2022, Jesse contributed as an editor for the Canadian Journal of Comparative and Contemporary Law, further reflecting his dedication to legal research and writing. Prior to law school, Jesse earned a BA degree in English literature with a minor in philosophy from the University of British Columbia.

Jesse was called to the bar in 2023 and has since built a robust career in estate litigation. He articled and worked as an associate at a personal injury and wills and estates firm from 2022 to 2024. Throughout this period, Jesse gained extensive litigation experience, including independently conducting many examinations for discovery, attending both contested and uncontested chambers applications, and participating in trial management and case planning conferences. In addition to his trial experience, he has also been successful as sole counsel at summary trials and has drafted numerous settlement proposals and mediation briefs.

His litigation experience spans a variety of estate matters, such as common law spouse disputes, wills variation claims, resulting trust disputes, and conflicts with executors and administrators. Jesse is known for his approachable and empathetic demeanor, attributes that greatly enhance his interactions with clients. His outgoing personality and background in acting, theatre, and teaching enable him to excel at taking the temperature of the room and establishing dialogue between people.

Outside of his legal career, Jesse is passionate about sports, particularly European soccer and the NFL. He also enjoys literature, with a particular fondness for Dante and Dostoevsky, and is an avid fan of movies like “The Godfather” and “The Lord of the Rings.” His eclectic musical tastes range from My Bloody Valentine to Lil Wayne, and he appreciates “good” TV shows such as “Lost” and “Mad Men.” He is currently savouring every episode of “The Bear”.
