Estate lawyers for East Vancouver

East Vancouver covers the ground east of Main Street, from Commercial Drive to Renfrew and down toward the Fraser. The nearest Onyx office is downtown at Suite 1215, 650 West Georgia Street, across the viaducts and a straight run through the city core — and our New Westminster office is a second option for families closer to the eastern edge.

East Vancouver estates are administered through the Vancouver Law Courts at 800 Smithe Street, the BC Supreme Court registry for the city. The Wills, Estates and Succession Act sets out who inherits when someone dies without a will: under Part 3, a surviving spouse and the children share the estate in shares fixed by statute, not by anything the family agrees among themselves. We handle probate applications, executor duties, and the disputes that come up when an estate has more heirs than assets.
