So why do you push people to get advice early rather than at the deadline? Well, you always want to be within the limitation period as much as possible, because then you forestall an argument that you’re limitation barred, which will take up air time, which will cost more money. So it’s much simpler if you just commence a claim within the limitation period. So what should someone do this week, if they think they might have a claim? You should seek legal advice, and you should not delay, because the delay will be held against you.
